We filed the divorce papers today. There's really only one thing left that I need to do now and that is to get the financial aspect handled. It's gonna make things pretty tight for me for a while but I have to do what I agreed to.
Despite the fact that I asked for this divorce, I was still very mixed about today. I know I need this to move on, but I've hurt someone in the process. And to say the whole money thing scares the shit out of me is an ZOMGHUEG!!!1!!ONE!! understatement. I just hope I got all of the paperwork right and the judge will just grant the divorce. I don't want to prolong the suffering I've inflicted on the Ex any longer than I have already.
Well, I got a letter on Saturday from the County Clerk; The petition has been filed and my hearing date is May 12th. I guess I’ll find out then if my divorce will be granted.
